Yes! I also call it an "adaptogenic vehicle" because it beautifully enhances the effects of other adaptogens.

Hello, how are you today?

Have you done your 20 breaths to reset your nervous system? Turned on your red light? Taken that hot–cold-hot shower?

Just kidding... or maybe not. :o

Today I want to talk about this trending nutritional topic: adaptogens.

What Are Adaptogens?

Adaptogens are natural compounds—like herbs, roots, fungi, or plant parts—that help the body adapt to stress, restoring balance (homeostasis) and improving our physiological response.

**Quick note: Stress pulls us out of our baseline state. It can be short-term (like intense exercise or emotional shock) and useful for survival, or chronic (like accumulated poor sleep or emotional overload) and harmful if prolonged.

AND, what Makes Them Special is that they are natural and non-toxic ;) + as it's name suggest, they adapt to you: they act according to your body's needs, restoring balance without side effects.

What are the main benefits they offer?

  • Reduce anxiety and fatigue

  • Improve sleep

  • Strengthen the immune system

  • Counteract insomnia effects

  • Enhance attention, endurance, and concentration

  • Balance the body against internal and external stress

  • Protect against free radicals (rich in antioxidants)

And while adaptogens support overall health and help regulate bodily systems, we can divide them into three types: Energoceuticals, Infoceuticals, and Organocuticals

  • Energoceuticals: are for boosting energy and reduce mental fatigue

  • Infoceuticals: are good for improve mental clarity, focus, and memory

  • Organocuticals: mainly help to balance emotions and promote well-being

Now, the Big Three Questions

  1. How to incorporate them? Consciously. Start with your foundational habits:

    • Quality rest

    • Hydration

    • Digital detox

    • Less processed foods

You can use them in cacao drinks, smoothies, soups... better integrated into real food than isolated capsules.

  2. Why include them? We live in an environment where 90% of our habits are anti-biological. Our bodies are in constant stress mode and need tools to balance.

  3. Which are the best? always Local ones. They're not only more affordable but also adapted to your environment, and your body recognizes them better.

(You'd be surprised by how many adaptogens exist beyond the popular ones.)

And Cacao?

Is it an adaptogen?

Yes! But that's a topic for another article... read it HERE..

gracias por leer!

sending you big hugs and always  love to you way,
